It cost $20k just for engine. You could rebuild your whole engine and car for that price.

It all boils down to how much money you have to put into the project.
Short List Hood clearance
Pretty-much the complete drivetrain from engine to wheels
Place for the oil tank
New PCM and harness
Fuel system from the tank forward, two stage pumps
I'm sure there is more....

There's easier ways to get that kind of HP, not that having an LS9 wouldn't be cool.....

LS9 would be cool but as stated earlier, you would need a complete drive train upgrade from the flywheel back.

There are some of here who are running more HP that for less money and a lot less work. If you want to spend the money to claim you have the LS9, then do so-to each his own.

NO! Only if you don't want broken parts all the time.
It would be interesting if someone priced out what it would cost to duplicate the content of the LS9.
Sodium filled exhaust valves, titanium intake valves and connecting rods, forged crank, blower, dry sump oil system, etc....
It would also be interesting how far the LS9 could be pushed to produce more power..

I might be wrong but I thought the LS9 was a supercharged version of the LS3. Same cubes I think.

Interesting! What does the package change or include to increase the hp?

Corvette Enthusiast has an article on it:
Mallett said the cast intake/supercharger exhibits a lot of heat soak. On the dyno their car tuned out a best of 552rwhp/537tq as the engine heated up the hp dropped into the 540s quickly.
To keep the car cool Mallett increases the volume of of the intercooler's fluid system by approx. 1 gallon nearly doubling the volume of the factory system. They also install a secondary intercooler radiator.
They hand port the intake/supercharger, the "v" between the impellers and the intercoolers get blended and smoothed. About 1/4" of casting flash on the back of the housing at the upper deck portion of the unit is modified.
They swap out the pulley on the supercharger with a unit that is installed with 3 bolts and is keyed. This allows them to tune the system and use different pulley sizes while retaining the stock size belt. The smaller pulley they use bumps the manifold pressure from the stock 11lbs to 16lbs. The stock pulley is pressed on and not keyed.
Mallett also uses a ZR1 specific Kook's Custom 1 7/8" headers with high flow cats, K&N filter on both packages.
The 757hp package includes a "racier" camshaft for the extra 50hp.
