Default Those with Random Tech cats...

Do they smell like egg whenever you get on it? My cats have less then 5k miles on them, i have done my fair share of spirited runs with the car and they stink the first few times i get on it, it goes away after that. I thought this was normal for there "break-in" but shouldn't smell anymore after that. So anyone else have stinky cats?

Try another brand of gas or stop complaining when you get on it and fart in your car.

10,000 miles on mine and no odor ever. Sounds like a tune issue to me.

Have had the 3"RT cats on for four years now and have never noticed any odor, even when they were new. Rotten egg smell, sulfur, comes usually when cats are off the car. I agree with previous posts- check the tune.

I have a tune loaded on the car but i haven't had it on a wideband or dyno tuned.

I also have a rattle somewhere in my exhaust and cant seem to pinpoint it. I hope they aren't broken apart...

If they smell like rotten eggs when you get on it that is normal if you are running rich!

I do know its running rich, lots of popping on de-acceleration and yes i do get a rich smell sometimes not the egg smell. Seems like i need a real tune.

Same here, no problems

Stop using cheap fuel ( high additives) or Shell. when ever I used Shell fuels, those additives made the cats stink.

i use Hess or Sheetz most of the time as it is the freshest and least expensive. I also stay away form those so called top tier fuels. Just more expensive, not better.

Wow what you just said is like the opposite that i have always heard. Since when is sheetz not considered cheap gas?

Shell/Exxon/BP is not cheap gas...normally the most expensive beating out sheetz almost every time.

I live in NoVA, the fuel is fresh....

It doesn't matter what kind of gas i buy they all make the car stink. It's not the gas.
