3M Trim Adhesive Remover. Most auto parts or auto body shop suppliers have it

Doesn't Goof Off have Acetone in it? That would possible ruin the paint on the BSM if you get any on it. I think I will try the 3M product if it doesn't cost me my first born. Thanks for the response sir.

Goof Off and WD-40 both work well...then just clean with glass cleaner afterwards. I always keep a bottle handy in the house AND in the garage. Then again, I have two little termites called 'kids.'

Astro Pnuematics, and 3M, make an "eraser". Looks and feels just like an eraser on a pencil, except it's round. Put it in your drill, a few minutes, and wala, clean BSM's. Go to your local auto paint store, they are about $20.00 and saves alot of headaches!!

TECHSPRAY www.techspray.com I use it at work on electronic gear. I have used it on painted surfaces of the equipment and it does not take paint off, works on plastic too, but there are cautions. I have not tried it on a car. Orange/lemon juice can work depending. Goo-be-Gone works too but takes some rubbing. It's supposed to be all natural and "green" too. I used it on the wife's T-Bird to remove the adhesive for those plastic strips for the top.

That Goof Off is nasty stuff. It will melt plastic. Just a heads up.

Try Naptha, same as Zippo lighter fluid, wouldn't hurt plastic vinyl or leather. Use it on the helicopters alot. Cheaper than 3m which has Benzene in it, VERY, VERY NASTY for your health. If you use the 3M Adhisive Remover #08984 you better wear gloves and a respirator.

Mineral Spirits should do it. I think that's what I used.

That's two votes for mineral spirits and two for trim adhesive remover,A buddy at work just gave me some Goof off, something has to work better than goo gone, that stuff turned the tape to chewing gum.
