Got in this morning and the Damn thing wont crank over...Steps i have done so far..
1. replace battery ...still wont start
2. clean and reconnect the ground points ....still wont start..
3. checked the battery while the wife cranked...12.3 volts..
anything else im missing??
wont even sound like it cranking over...confused..?? ON what to do next.

Ok, start with the obvious... have you checked the fuses? The 12.3 volts is too low as it needs to be 12.5 or above, static charge. Do you hear the solenoid at all? If not, do you hear the TDR relay in the passenger footwell? If not, is the security light on the dash, flashing? Is it a manual transmission and if so, have you checked the clutch switch? Lastly, this might be a bad ignition switch. If that security light is flashing, clean the pellet on the key and see if you get something.
Ignition switch repair as described in this forum fixed my starting problem. It's an easy fix and sounds like it may be related to your starting issue.
nope no clicking...chevy stealership parts dept is closed today...im going tomorrow and get the switch...and see from there...thanks guys for all your help...i'll keep you informed..
