Slow drain on battery?
I bought the car new and the first few years I had it, it could go months without being started or charged and it would always start right up.
Over the last three years, my battery has always been dead when I go to start it after sitting for a while. A brief charge always brings her right back to life, but it never held the charge for more than two weeks.
Fast forward to one year ago where the battery was replaced. My car went three months without being started but was on a trickle-charger the entire winter. It started right up in March. Sat for a few weeks. Again, dead battery. Charged it, started it, sat for only two weeks. Dead battery.
It has not been looked at by a professional for this issue yet, but I'm hoping some other c5 owner had a similar issue and can give me some ideas.
Thanks.
This is why I always put the trickle charger on the Car, if I think it is going to sit for a while, even a week. Sometimes a week turns into 2 or 3 weeks... This way I'm sure it will be ready to go when I am.
Did this with my C4 and now the C5.

Same thing going on here! We drive the car regularly but if the weather is going to be bad or rainy for a while and I just cleaned and detailed the car it may sit in the garage for a week or so - then, dead battery. A trickle charger solves the problem but it should be able to sit for more than a week or two and still start.
I think the battery is crapping out. Time to go shopping I guess.
