Can this be done? I know you can powder coat with a chromelike color. Has this been done before? I think it would look cool.

The intake is plastic. I don't think it can be done. Holly makes
an aluminum intake that I guess could be polished so you
could go that route.

chuckster, hi,
As the LS1/LS6 is built from some sort of reinforced hard PE-/Nylon- compound, you can do coating this intake plenum with many things, i.e. =>
- plating with Crome
- plating with Gold (even 22/24ct)
- plating with Nickel
- plating with Copper
Just go out searching a shop who does galvanic plating process and you are in that Business of enhancements - often much more cheaper as when you purchase the finished parts. I went for this route and am very happy with the results, esp. on board of our Yacht (many Interior outfits as well as in the engine room).
Joe.

I think I'll get the LS6 Intake and have my local plater take care of it.
