Roller Rocker Wipe Pattern

If I go with roller tip rockers (i.e. YT's), does a good wipe pattern necessarilly equate to proper push rod length?

No. You should set wipe first, then measure for pushrod length.

How about setting wipe with heads on the car?

Since the hydraulic lifter will compress, I use the same method in the car, i.e., use check springs and a dial indicator.

What' everone's opinion on stock rockers with higher lift cams (0.585 / 0.585)?. That's the only reason I'm looking into the swap. Maybe not worthwhile?

Lots run them, not many bother to set them up. They should work well but you need to again verify the wipe pattern. Harder to set wipe due to shims not generally available. Very light rocker. Comp has a new trunnion kit for them.
