Engine quits while driving!!
Got a buddy's '99 auto with 68K miles. No mods, all stock. Symptoms are a slightly rough idle, but the car will shut off driving along at about 40 kinda like the key gets turned off, but comes back. This ONLY happens w/AC ON!!!! Runs OK otherwise.
Other history:
Car was in major front end wreck, fixed 2 yrs ago at dealer
No Codes or Warnings, except ABS lite and trac lite ON
Has >120 oil press (sending unit problem); DIC not working
Any help appreciated

Could be several things, but my first thing to check would be the BCM at the pass foot well just left of the fuse block to see if it is getting wet from A/C condensation dripping on it. There is an A/C drain that gets plugged up allowing water to drip on the computer there under the foot well cover.

Thanks for the replies!!! My el cheapo scanner does not read ABS codes, but I don't think that would cause it to stall while driving. Will use the big Snap On scanner tomorrow.
It is worse with the AC on, and with AC off idles better and no stalling. Engine has good power otherwise.
DIC buttons don't work either.....

Check fuel pressure, may have clogged fuel filter? My car had a broke wire and never set a code, but on the dyno it was jumping all over the place so i figured dirty maf, but i started to look and there was a broken wire on the drivers side shooting to the ex mani..
