I just purshed my first C5 any ideas on witch is the best exhaust to put on it

 

ARH 1 3/4 if thats all you want, and ARH 1 7/8 if you plan on doing h/c full bolt ons later.

What are you looking to do performance wise? How loud do you want it? How much do you want to spend? Hit some shows or cruises and listen to some different exhaust with different type mods done to them.

 

Your going to get swamped with peoples opinions as to which one sounds the best. Unless you make some seat time in other peoples cars that have different systems and actually listen to them in person, picking an exhaust is a crap shoot.

Ive seen TOO MANY people purchase a system through someone else's OPINION and end up selling it later because it was too loud or NOT LOUD ENOUGH or it had bad DRONE! Exhaust DRONE is something to avoid like the plague. It sucks and can make driving your car miserable.

Listen to exhaust systems on other people cars. If you fine one that you like "COPY IT" !!!

Remember,,,,,some engine mods effect what an exhaust sounds like. If the car that you listen to had a cam and performance heads, that same system on your car will be quieter.

Also note that an aftermarket exhaust system (over the axle mufflers) will not add that much HP to your engine. Most people see 5- to maybe 10 on a good day. Purchase the exhaust system for the sound improvements

If I had to purchase a over the axle muffler system TODAY, it would be the GHL system.

Right now I have a Stainlessworks complete system 1 3/4" LT Stainless Headers, High flow cats, 3" mid pipe with X pipe and 3" exhaust system.

I really like my system and it sounds fantastic!

I have B&B bullets, LG headers, offroad xpipe and a cam, here is a clip:

It sounds very intimidating and I get nothing but "that is the sickest vette i have ever heard" .... But the drone sucks. If I had to daily drive the car, I would go with something like Corsa or anything that has no drone.

BTW: I chose b&b bullets cause i like deep/low rumble. I dont know any exhaust that sounds like that without drone.

Thats awesome, but way too loud for my taste. I've got nothing but B&B bullets and the sound is perfect for me.

 

yea i know lol. I am on the lookout for a quieter version that has a deep rumble and no drone.
