bbk cold air induction filter question

What's really odd is that there is no mention of a cleaning and oiling kit on BBK's website, nor is such a kit offered on any of a number of vendor's sites I looked at. I DID find mention of the need to oil the filter on this page:

If the filter is made of cotton, then it probably does require oil. AEM is one of the few aftermarket CAI manufacturers who states that oiling their filters is not recommended.
