Default New Shocks for a Nicer Ride

My wife's C5 needs new shocks and she's looking for a nicer ride. As floating and mushy as a C5 can be. Any recommendations? Thanks.

get rid of the run flats or buy NEW Mich PS2 AS

The stock C5 Shocks are very good.

those two will soften the ride for your wonderful Toronto roads

Thanks, but we got rid of the run flats years ago. Would the stock C6 shocks (not the Z06) be softer than the stock c5 shocks?

I'd think adjustables like say the Pfadt shocks would be your best choice. Then, you can put them to the soft setting.

What suspension option are you starting with? There was a soft ride option FE1 code I think. What year?

If you don't have it look into what it takes to turn it into a soft ride.

Just the basic suspension.

Surprisngly the C5Z shocks dont make the ride much more harsh but what they do is contro spring movements much better which helps to make a more confortable ride.

You mentioned 'floating and mushines'. Both will disappear with the C5Z shock. And dump the run flats if you have them.

Interesting, Jim, thanks. I'll talk to my wife. She said she wanted a floating and mushy ride, so I'll see what she thinks about that part disappearing but the ride still being more comfortable.

Sami, how do you like the Koni FSDs compared to the stock shocks?

That's basically what I said. However, since it needs new shocks anyway, may as well go the softer route. Would Koni FSD be softer than the regular shocks?

Just a tad softer than 01 Z06 shocks, i did not see great benefit though.
