Trouble w/ downshifting a C5
I have been having problems from time to time downshifting my 99 when on the track. It is a MN6 standard. Stock clutch (about 60,000 miles). Stock shifter. I'm running trans and diff coolers and Royal Purple fluids.
Sometimes it is really hard to make the 4-3 or 3-2 downshifts when under hard braking. I'll admit my heel-toe is not the best but I get close with my revs.
This might be more for the autocross/road racing forum but thought I'd check with C5 Tech first.
It is not consistent in having problems. It doesn't do it every time but it does happen every track session.
Could it be clutch? Synchros? Shifter?
