Default Slight rubbing feeling when turning right.

Guys, I bought a 2003 50th about 4 months ago. I have notinced a slight rubbing or vibration when I initially turn to the right. I have looked under the car and it has not been in an accident. In fact, it had only 11k miles onit. I am thinking it sat in one position for a long time and something in the steering got pitted. Can anyone give me some items to inspect?

brake pad warning bracket. Time for new brake pads and brake fluid flush

or at least jack it up and take that wheel off for a look

I doubt that the brake pads are worn out at 11,000 miles. I will take off the wheel, I was just wondering if the steering is a rack and that could be damaged?

You'll have to look underneath...it could be a wheel bearing...but @ 11000 miles I doubt it.

I agree with the wheel bearing. They can sometimes go bad with low miles as well.

Had all of the same syptoms, check everything, diff, halfshafts, culprit was the right front and Rt rear wheel bearings, change both quiet as when the car was new, also I have 36 thou miles, seems to low for wheel bearings, but that was the problem.

Had all of the same syptoms, check the diff, half shafts, right frt and rear wheel bearings was the culprit, change both car rides like new with no noise, vehicle has only 36 thou easy mile, so you wouldn't think it was the bearings, but it was Good Luck.

Are you saying it only does it while the wheels are being turned (like standing still) or while the car is traveling around a turn. If the first is the case I'd look at the ball joints and tie rods. May have a dry one dying for a shot of grease...

Sway bar bushings? Loosen bolts and lube bushings with anti seize compound or similar. No WD 40.

I would think the sway bar bushing would just squeak. They dont travel very far on normal city streets. The tie rods and ball joints will start to give feedback through the steering wheel when they get really bad though. Usually they start with a groaning vibration sound and get worse if you let them go. Most of the time they only seem to do it in one direction which makes me believe it could be his problem.
