I gotta' ask this one more time. I've got squeeking coming from the right rear suspension. I've done the searches, done everything I've read. First removed the sway bar bushings, cleaned and lubed with silicon grease, no effect. Then removed tire, sprayed silicon lube all around upper and lower A-frame bushings, squeaks stopped. But 2 days later squeaks are back. Have gone through this process 2 or 3 times, squeaks always come back after a couple days.
Is the silicon lube drying out that soon? Is there some other type of lube I should try? I hate to try to remove the A-frame bushings. Any help would be appreciated.
need help with this also. I've been trying to find the certain kind of liquid wrench silicone lube that was recommended here. I can't find it anywhere. everything has petroleum distillates in it.
would white lithium grease work? I think that's not supposed to evaporate.
I appreciate the help so far, guys, but most of the references seem to be towards the sway bar bushings. I've got them lubed and I think are not the culprit at this point. I may still install some poly bushings at some point.
But the squeaks are definitely coming from lower A-frame bushings, because it goes away when I first lube them, but then comes back after a couple days.
But I'm still listening for suggestions. Thanks again.
Most big box home improvement stores carry silicone grease in the plumbing supply area that is designed for faucet o-rings. It doesn’t evaporate and doesn’t deteriorate the rubber bushing over time. Works well for applying a light coating on door, top and rear deck rubber seals too.
