Hitting Rev limiter...in A4

Before replacing the A4 I did have a rev limiter issue in the shift from 2nd to 3rd. Wouldn't shift until I let of the gas. When I replaced the transmission the problem went away.

I also have a 3200 stall Yank, and also have no issues. Without trying to be a smart ***, I'd like to give the OP a little friendly advice. I NEVER use WOT throttle just because the engine coolant is up to "normal" temps. Why? Because if the coolant has just reached normal temps, the engine oil has NOT. It's not anywhere near warmed up yet. Not good! I wait until my oil temps are at least 160°-170°, before thinking about high performance, WOT driving. Also, your A4 holds at least 10-12 quarts of fluid, and is still colder and thicker, and will take longer to reach operating temp, than the engine oil!! It may not solve everyone's A4 problems, but it's a very good rule of thumb to make sure ALL your fluids are warmed up BEFORE gassing it WOT!!!
