You really need supporting mods to take full advantage of a FAST intake: heads, cam, headers.
LT's, heads and a cam first...otherwise you're just wasting your money. The stock LS6 intake is capable of outflowing the stock LS6 heads (unmodified). The intake is not the bottleneck on a stock set up.
Oh okay Now I understand, And it all makes sense, lol
Thanks everybody for taking the time elighten me on the intake swap.
So far i only have a 90mm throttle body lol I'm waiting till the car is paid
off in Dec 09 then I'll begin to wake the motor up with some mods,
Still trying to decide on smog legal supercharger or H/C/I & headers plus an increase in compression atleast 11:1 maybe more, also I plan to make the car Sub 3000lbs
Go to the TPIS web site and look at the dyno tests done with a variety of tb's and intakes. Even with the mods to their engine, a LS1 tb and an LS6 intake were not far behind the 90mm tn and a FAST. I wouldn't spend the money for a FAST until I had massive mods completed. Or, port and polish the LS6 and be happy.
