Default Best fitting Headers for 98 A4?

I have been looking for headers for a while and all of them seem to have different issues for a 98. Like no air tubes and things like that. So I was wondering if there is a system that hooks up, and is pretty straight foward. I guess basically hooking back up what you took off the manifolds, if that makes any since. I am also looking for a good priced one as well catted or non-catted. I have seen the obx but they sound like it is hit or miss on which set you get. I am also looking at the LG streets. Any advice would really help, I am looking to buy in the next few days. Thanks for the help.

Need a little more information. Let me tell you my story. Speaking from experience with a 98 A4 - I started with a ceramic coated Tri-Y long tube headers and B&B's tri flow stainless steel exhaust with just some motor bolt ons - they worked great. I advanced to heads and cam and needed to go with a 1 3/4" Kooks SS and that worked fine for the new set up. Ended up going to an LS2 Stroker (403 Cu In) and the 1 3/4" headers were restricting - switched to Kooks 1 7/8" Long tube headers and high flow cats and gain about 30 hp with just that change with the new motor. Note, the 1 7/8" headers are a tight fit. So lesson is: decide where you are going and save the intermediate upgrades and expense of swapping out headers. Good Luck on your journey!

I have the LG streets on my 00 LS1...very happy with both fitment & quality .. LG supplied the air tube relocation components as part of the kit...don't settle for "cheap" headers as there are many good quality brands available.......

I have LG Streets on my car, they are alright. I cant say that I am disappointed with them. BUT.......... If I had a chance to do it all over, I might go with American Racing headers.

performance.

Thanks for the comments. I think I am going to go with the LG Streets. LG said that they would hook up nicely and I dont live to far from there. But thank you again for the input.

We have installed many sets of Kooks Headers and have never had a complaint. The quality and fitment is top notch.
