I finished a ls2 install on a C5 Z and the car is having a few issues.
1) the turn signals, reverse lights and the brake lights are not working on the car, the center brake light does work though.
2) ABS light, and trac controll light is on
3) engine is whining.
I removed the ECU from the car when the engine was out and I had it flashed by a local tuner. Could this be why the ABS light, and the TC light is on?
I am thinking the engine whining maybe the water pump, everything else seems fine. The whining is proportional to the engine RPM. and will still whine when stopped and in neutral.
I have checked all the electrical connections, all the ground points, fuses ect... and cant seem to get the lights working properly. The harness is hooked up to the tranny and all the tranny connections.
Anyone have any ideas?
I could swear that the ABS / TC light was on when the owner brought the car in, but he is saying other wise... (forgot to note that on the invoice.)
"This harness allows the single-wire LS1 knock sensors located on top of the LS1 manifold to be relocated on both sides of the LS2 block and plugged into the factory LS1 PCM harness. It has the perfect added length and thermal protection required to be routed near hot exhaust manifolds. Compatible with the PCM harness in LS1 Corvette and F-Body cars. "

Just having experience with no brake lights, except the third brake light, I vote for the multifunction turn signal module, as it also is a major player in the turn signal arena!
His old motor was probably bad and I'm sure there's benefits from going from 5.7 to 6.0
Not my car, nor my choice. Owner had built blown c5 z, and wanted it all in a c6, then used what was removed from the c6 to put the c5 back to stock......... um not the best way to do things

Wouldnt it just be easier to pull the blower off of the C5, sell it and buy one for the C6? People do crazy things
If he wanted the C5 to be "stock" he a lot further from that now than when he started!
