Strange Glitch when Starting

It only happens once every few days, but sometimes when I start my 2000 none of my gauges work, no speedometer, no radio, no power windows, etc., although the car does start and seemingly run fine. As soon as I turn my key to the off position (without even taking it out) everything comes back on. The only code that comes up is P0141 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S). Any idea why this happens? Thanks.

That symptom points to a failing ignition switch. I have a post on rebuilding the electrical portion of that switch. You can follow the post and the threads and self evaluate your problem and fix or just replace the switch.

Your car runs fine which sort of rules out a serial data buss issue. I have see stranger things happen so, dont rule out that problem also. What DTCs do you see???
