I have been having the fuel gauge problem for several years and I am constantly adding Techron & always using premium brand gas with Techron in the gas.
That has not solved the problem. Yesterday on a trip back from Dallas to Lou, KY in 10 hours of rain the needle went to empty and then it stopped runninng at 330 miles along side the interstate.
After AAA got there and I refuel, it only took 12 gals, 8 gallons remaining yet it acted as if it was empty.
Any ideas on the problem before it goes to the shop. As it is, can't trust what it will do in the future.
It sounds like you might not be getting all the fuel out of the RHS tank. Maybe the siphon pump is partially plugged or otherwise malfunctioning.
BTW, my fuel gauge is also a strange one. I've run a bunch of seafoam through it, but any time I completely fill the tank the guage goes nuts until it's under 3/4 and still showed 1/8 tank last week when it ran out of fuel...

You may have a kink in the fuel line that passes between the two tanks. I had this happen on my C6. Make sure whomever you bring it to knows what they are doing. Good luck.
