Went to put gas and when I tried to start it, it will crank but no start.
Took it home, pulled the codes and got p0601 and p1518. I have been searching the forum for two days now and can't find the fix. I even took the ignition switch out and did what Bill posted with now luck. Then I took the computer out and had it reflashed and still no luck.
I've got fuel pressure but no spark.
Checked all fuses and all ok.
Those are the only codes that I've gotten and when I try to clear them only the p0601 erases but not the p1518. But as soon as I try to crank the engine the p0601 comes right back on.

Banging my head against the wall please help.
Did you have the P601 before or after the reflash.......?
No info in your sig, have no idea what type of mods you have....
Yes sir I did. I just bought a new ignition switch and installed it. Now it won't even crank. I think it has to do with the security mode.
The P601 suggests there is a programming problem.
Are you using a service manual to troubleshoot? Are you sure the ignition switch was bad? Did you check your coil pack grounds?(G107, rear drivers side head)
If the BCM is not satisfied with the new ignition setup, it will disable the TDR; thus, no cranking. Even if you bypass the TDR, the PCM will disable the fuel injectors until the key code is resolved.
You can check the operation of your old ignition switch with a meter. If it's good, I would use that for the balance of your troubleshooting as to not add more variables to the equation.

PM sent.
Lucky, thank you very much for all your help. You were right, it was a bad PCM. I followed that trouble shooting procedures and lead me right too it. I took it to the dealer bought a new PCM and had them program it. It fired right up.
