427 Warhawk.
Dude you should have paid the $500-750 had your car shipped to ECS and told Chris/Doug how much power you want. And here's something else to think about.Everybody keeps telling you not to go STS,but NO! You gonna have it your way.
Sorry! But a fool and his money......And I'd bet ya a steak dinner,It wont get down the 1/4 as quick as Dougs C5. For some reason you think people are just making this stuff up. You were hell bent on World Products....Your hell bent on STS...After everyone says TTIX. At this point its just really wait for the next thread,my oil return on the sts kit failed and burnt up some $hit!
Look @ the thread in the F/I section BIG DOGS OF THE C5 WORLD.
Not a one car has world products junk under the hood, and if it is its no more than 2.
As for the return pump, yes, I had the original fail while under warranty. All it did was to blow oil out of the exhaust. But you DO know how a "return" pump works, now don't you....

As for World Products, for every one who said they had problems with them, there were three that said that preferred the Warhawk. So I just drew the short straw and lost with them. But at least LME stood by me, which probably a lot of other engine builders wouldn't have done.
And again, as for your opinions, you know what they say about opinions and *******s, I suppose.....
I was looking back and saw the old target date was 4/23. Considering this is the 26th and its en route tomorrow you aren't doing to bad with all things considered. You mentioned not getting her in the car until first week of May, I say as long as you are driving before the 4th of July you are golden. So many things have went wrong, but it will be worth it in the end.
To play devils advocate, if you could go back to day one on this whole thing what would you have done different? RHS block from the beginning, LSx block, so many options. Remember this is a what if scenario and you get to do it all over again. Just curious.
Can't wait to see what this motor will do !!!
As for what I would do differently, well, that depends on what knowledge I have now that I could have crystal balled back then.
If I had known my car would have been tied up for 6 months, I wouldn't have done it at all. Period. I bought the car to drive, and there is now a gap of 6 months that I can never recover of that enjoyable passtime.
If I had known I would have gotten a lemon from World Products, of course I would have gone with RHS. And even that presumes that I will not have any problems with this new engine. A month from now I may be wishing I just had my money back and never had this desire in the first place.
Heck, is there really any option for a 427 that would have been guaranteed absolutely perfect?
I guess I'll just have to see what tune the fat lady is singing when this is all over with. At this point I can't even rule out the possibility that I might just put a FOR SALE sign on the darn thing and be done with it if there are any more headaches involved. I know some people say this is to be expected, but I certainly did NOT expect it. The original game plan had been to have everything at Chris's shop, bring my car in, maybe be a month for the install and iron out some bugs, and be on my way. Obviously things didn't go as planned.

That engine wont know those little turbos are hooked up.
But you know it all.As far as my build.I'm gonna cheat!
LSX 454 crate from GM,and slap a YSI or NOVI or F1 on it. Clean cut and straight to the point. With enuff power/TQ to pull the moon form the sky!
And the reason for this route...Everything will have a great warranty! And you spare yourself the headache you went through. And turn around is quick. You use the parts off the old block to keep cost down. You can pick up a few bucks for the old block and heads and other parts. With all parts at the shop,my build has a turn around of a week!

I hope when you hit the brakes hard the front bumper doesn't smack the pavement. In any event, the new engine showed up at XtremeMotorsports on Friday. I'll be stopping out there on Monday to take pics and get an itinerary of the build being continued after the long pause (thanks to World Products). I guess we'll just have to see what happens.
