Wow!!! Hopefully it helped keep your mind off the wait.
Did you do the rear control arms?
I did the back of my car. You're going to love the way it looks from behind.

No, I didn't bring those control arms home. I wouldn't have had time anyway. Not to mention that my wrists are now killing me from handling the grinder and dremel for so long.

Can't really say I would ever want to do this again.....

Guess I should have coated them with something, but since I'm taking them back to Chris in the morning, and didn't finish up till around 9 pm this evening, I just ran out of time and steam....

The good part about doing that is you can hose off any dirty now that the parts are so smooth. I would ;love to do that to my rear control arms.

Great Job on the polishing, but damn bro you really must've been bored !!! Looks awesome, kind of like mirrors.

I was looking back and saw the old target date was 4/23. Considering this is the 26th and its en route tomorrow you aren't doing to bad with all things considered. You mentioned not getting her in the car until first week of May, I say as long as you are driving before the 4th of July you are golden. So many things have went wrong, but it will be worth it in the end.

To play devils advocate, if you could go back to day one on this whole thing what would you have done different? RHS block from the beginning, LSx block, so many options. Remember this is a what if scenario and you get to do it all over again. Just curious.

Can't wait to see what this motor will do !!!

OMG!!!

Dude you should have paid the $500-750 had your car shipped to ECS and told Chris/Doug how much power you want. And here's something else to think about.Everybody keeps telling you not to go STS,but NO! You gonna have it your way.

Sorry! But a fool and his money......And I'd bet ya a steak dinner,It wont get down the 1/4 as quick as Dougs C5. For some reason you think people are just making this stuff up. You were hell bent on World Products....Your hell bent on STS...After everyone says TTIX. At this point its just really wait for the next thread,my oil return on the sts kit failed and burnt up some $hit!

Look @ the thread in the F/I section BIG DOGS OF THE C5 WORLD.

Not a one car has world products junk under the hood, and if it is its no more than 2.

Ignore the lemmings Rich. They all poo poo'd me when I built the first L92 headed 403 build in the country 4 years ago.

Looks like a few people are getting off on rubbing salt in your wounds Rich Z. Well you what they say right? What goes around comes around. I wish no ILL WILL towards anyone but kicking sand in someones face when they are down is just weak.

Believe me I hear your side too, Rich Z was advised and probably in retrospect should've listened but its a little to later for that. Lets all just hope that the end result is one bad MF'R and he's happy. Good Luck Rich Z.

Rich, hows it going? Don't pay any attention to the negitive comments, whats done is done and its your build right. Plus ya know, opinions are like a$$holes, everybodies got one.

This build hasn't gone as planned and some of that goes on you, but if people would take time to read all the comments its not like you haven't said that yourself.

Later,

Darion

I totally agree with you. I just figured the guy already feels bad enough and openly admits he made a few mistakes along the way, why add to it. But I do understand when you say no son that stove is hot don't touch it or you'll get burnt. Sometimes you gotta let them get burnt a little before they learn.

Maybe you can educate me a bit on the STS system. I've read good and bad on the subject. Is there something inherently bad about the STS Twin setup that makes you pro TTix? Sorry for the ignorance I'm not very educated on Forced Induction but trying to learn.

Last comment, Rich knows the situation is pretty much a complete debacle, but he's too far into it to quit. Lets just hope for the best when the project is finally completed.

Wow! You sort of got your hackles up. Calling names and getting pissed just adds to your lack of credability. I didn't really care that much before, but since you've reacted so maturely, I no longer wish you good luck. You started this thread basically bragging about what a badass engine you were having built, and the result of your ignoring lots of well intentioned advice, is a disaster. Now THAT'S funny. Not in most cases, where the person is a decent chap, but when some checkbook mechanic publicly flops, and then still insists he knew what he was doing is priceless. You almost have enough material for a reality show.

But whats kills me is that its, some brutal vettes on this site, and they have been combat tested, and perform.Like I mentioned the thread in the F/I section (Bigdogs)! That thread has cars that are monsters! Why not look @ a build from others?

A forged 402 with the right head/cam and blower will pull like the space shuttle! Its proven And if ya just gotta have a 427 they make a 427R crate motor. All this wasted time & money its just insane!

i read the first page about your intake fitment issue i did not read on to find out if you figured out what the problem was but i noticed with your mock up of the engine it did not appear you had head gaskests in position??????? if not that is why you hade the missaligment with the intake and then couple that with the .005 you had milled off you would definatley have a problem with alligment.

lol.. you really think the guy, who used a professional engine builder, had all of these problems because he forgot to use a head gasket when mocking up the engine. seriously?
