Shift light installed, not working
I bought a shift light from Jegs (non-led, basic $50 one) and the past few days I've been messing with this thing trying to get it to work. I found the "bone" white tach wire under the dash, every time I touch a tester to it the tach needle will move, and it also pops a code (P0654 Engine Speed Output Circuit) So I know that wire is correct. I grounded it off to a bolt near next to the wire bundle, and the power wire is connected to the pink wire. (I have also tried the orange one) When I first put the key in and turn it to on, the light lights up for a few seconds then shuts off, but when I rev it up to my predialed RPM it doesn't turn on. I'm simply out of ideas. Anyone have any suggestions? I'll take anything.
