There is no transmission dipstick on C5's Dave. The level is checked by removing the transmission fill plug, which is located on the left side of the transmission pan.
The engine must be running, car level, and the transmission fluid temperature between 86-122 degrees, before you remove the plug. The fluid level should be at the bottom of the fill plug threads.

Anyone check and find a low tranny fluid level? How many miles if you did find low?

The fluid cannot evaporate. If you don't have a leak, it could remain at the full level indefinitely. Do you have a leak?

FWIW, you can only check the fluid level when the fluid temp is between 85F - 122F.
You're welcome.

UNLESS,,, a previous owner or service center checked it wrong and never refilled it. Seen that one a few times.
If you don't follow the EXACT procedure,, when you remove the fill plug, you will wear a whole lot of fluid!!!!

I bought my C5 new in '98 and with 55K, been way to lazy to check it...no runs, drips, or errors. I hope Bowling Green filled 'er up

Your taking a big risk by completely ignoring it!
For the sake of transmission longevity, it would be wise to change your fluid and filter very soon.
