Bad BCM connections spell HELL

Not to defend JUSTANSWER,, (have on idea who they are) sometimes, what people tell you about the issues isn’t all the symptoms that are there. The ignition switch is starting to become a common problem on the C5 platform. Its easy for people just to jump on that as a source of the problem.
If I suspected your ignition switch was an issue, I would have recommended that you take some readings on the fuses that it supplies to see if it was providing each module the correct voltages. If the voltages were bad, I would have just told you to remove it and clean it. It’s really very simple. I have a complete post on that very topic!
There are so many so called or professed "G.M. " Master Mechanics" out there that don’t have a clue it makes me Ill. (there are some very good ones but, there hard to find
Ive seem NUMEROUS people get lead down the GM Mechanic money trail and there told that they need to replace stuff that never needed to be changed.
Before I replace a hard part, I prove out the diagnosis thru good ole fashion basic troubleshooting. Get the meter out and take some readings in the circuit. Check to see if the basic inputs, outputs and grounds are good or bad.
I like "csdunaway's" answer!
