Master cylinder bracket?!?!?!?

Master cylinder bracket?!?!?!?
Ok, my bracket broke once, and it broke the master cyilnder too that time, i welded the bracket, and 6 months later it cracks again. Anybody have an idea if these are all the same through all the years or are later model ones better or even the same mounting???
today I was driving and went to shift and my master went through the firewall. I got it towed to the shop, and re-welded the bracket for the time being and reinstalled the master, luckily it didnt break any tabs off, but I should really get a new one coming!!!!!

Yes, the clutch master cylinder. Its the same bracket that holds that, and also the clutch pedal. It is sortof a square hole with the corners rounded in, and it cracks up and down through that bracket. I wish I would have taken a photo while it was out, but i cant be the first person that this has happened to?!?
