It depends on what your perception of difficult is. I did mine by myself on jack stands in my garage, I thought it was easy but time consuming.
There are numerous write-ups available, perform a forum search on clutch replacement. Plus there is always the service manual, even with a forum write-up I believe having one for this job is essential.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the clutches in the limited slip differential. Are you?
My first clue was when he used the term "diff" twice and referred to clutches (in the plural).
TTT Can anyone offer any help here?
There was no reference to "clutches" in the plural in his original post.
C5 rear diff clutch's.Do I need any special tools or just the basic one's and how hard or easy is it to do.Any write ups?...............Paul
To the OP, yes you do need special tools (listed in the service manual). I strongly recommend you have the service available manual for this task. Is it difficult? Not if you have the correct tools and follow the instructions in the manual.
The clutches are not very difficult to do. You can diassemble the complete diff EXCEPT the pass side clutches. That side clutches can be removed using Kent Moore tool # J42162 and a press.
It helps if you have the right tools and holding fixture.
The pass side clutches are in the carrier just below the ring gear.
Also, make sure you get 2 wave washers when you do the clutch swap because they ALWAYS break!!! This is important since they preload the clutches.
I upgraded the left side shaft to C6 Z06 unit while I was in there.

My spelling was different but you understood what I meant about "plural". Even the thread title itself refers to more than one.
Thanks for the spelling assist.
