Exhaust Question.........
I'm sure this topic has been exhausted here before, but who has the best system with the best performance numbers. And who has the most reasonable price...And without sounding obnoxious.
Car is a 2000 vert 6 speed.

You shouldnt purchase an exhaust (cat back ) system soley for the HP /performance aspect. Most people only see 5-10 HP with a cat back muffler change on a mostly stock engine with minor bolt on mods. I dont think one system has much of a performance advantage over another. Unless you get a straight thru muffler which are pretty LOUD and most drone pretty bad, in the part throttle cruise condition.
Any free flowing exhaust will give you that HP gain. You more interested in the SOUND that your going to get and if the muffler will cause DRONE which you DONT WANT!
Muffler selection is a personal choice and you will get 20 different opinions. My personal choice is a 3" Stainless Works complete system. That included headers, 3" X pipe, 3" mufflers and pipes, 3" random high flow cats.
Stock ZO6 with minor engine mods. NO Drone and they sound very good. Install new High compression Heads and a BIG cam, significantly woke up the system and now it has a little drone and is a LOT louder!
