Thanks for the pics! Now I'm drooling. Nothing as sweet as a clean block and heads being assembled. Makes me want to pull/drop the engine and start playing.........Dave

Eagle and Scat are also made off shore. The dirty little secret in the industry is that all cranks and rods in this price range are made off shore. Some of the manufacturers finish the product in the states and some do not. A true made in America solution is available, but those pieces carry a premium of 2 or 3 times higher cost. Those are also available through us, and we prefer that our customers buy American when possible.

LS3 427 Shortblock vs. Stock LS7 Shortblock
The LS3 Block is $1,142 cheaper than the LS7 Block. The longer stroke makes more torque. The forged internals will handle a higher power capacity.

it just proves that overseas quality is not that bad. I've spun a standard small block chevy regularly to 7000 with eagle ESP rods and no problems.

We built a 402 about six years ago with Eagle rods and crank. We spin it about 8,000 rpms with roughly 26# of boost. Would we do it again? No, but they haven't broke yet.

The LSX Block is $600 more. It's more flexible with the bore size. So depending on what size bore you want, add $300 for machine work. Feel free to contact us for a quote and we will be happy to help you.

Yes, in this particular combination we are using a 4.125" stroke. The LS7 has a 4.000" stroke.
