Default Fuel Leak

Hey guys,

I have a 2004 CE Z06 I purchased in Sept of 2008 with 5500 miles on the clock. This past Nov. when fueling it up, gas started running out from under the car on the driver's side (10,000 miles). Thankfully this was at a Shell gas station that had a car wash with an underbody flush.

I just finished e-mailing Nathan, and will register my complaint with NHTSA also.

My car was modded in Sept with an A&A kit and upgraded in-tank fuel pump as well. Car has been fine until recently. Will this "Void" any claims I might have?

I also will be contacting the dealership to see what they have to say about it.

The "squeaky wheel" gets the oil....so lets start squeaking out there

I didnt know about this until yesterday, and filled out the complaint. You will need your vin number.

This is a faulty system designed by GM and they should be held accountable for it.
I just spent 2350.00 on a tank replacement. I will file tonight. Thanks.

I have an 02 Coupe that recently started leaking fuel right after a fill up, but does not last long. Is this the same problem everyone is refering to?

Will be forwarding my complaint also.

Default Had my tank replaced

My late 2004 Z started leaking fuel while refueling after it was about 4 months old and they replaced the tank (well that's what the repair order said).

Tank replacement seems to be the only real fix for this very serious issue.

I have my 03 in the shop now with a gas leak.. Having to drop the bottom out, just to get to the gas tanks. Unbelievable---also big repair bill.
