I have a 1999 C5. This is in the front bumper, passenger side. It's by the fog lights and comes out of the harness. In looking at it, I noticed one wire is cut. I have no clue what this is, so I don't know if I need to worry about it or what. Does anyone know what it is?
So, I shouldn't be concerned about the one cut wire? Also, I guess this would not cause a problem with the front drivers side turn signal, would it? That's not working at all.
I'm sure Bill will confirm, but it looks to be splice pack 102. The wire that is cut appears to be at pin D, which is supposed to provide a ground to the left front turn signal lamps. In any case, that blue wire taped in the bundle looks like some sort of repair. I would take it apart and investigate.

Ok, I pulled it apart and see 3 black wires going to pins A, B, and C. Pin D has a cut wire, but I don't see a 4th wire that went to this. I see two blue wires soldered to pin E.
I really don't know what the blue wires go to or what went to Pin D.
I have the Service manuals. I'm going to look and see if I can find the wiring diagram and figure this out. But, I also welcome everyone's input on this!
Problem found! There is an 8-pin connector in the harness where this splice pack resides. I pulled it apart and found corrosion. The red wire had pulled out somewhat and was not making a connection. When pushed back in, the left turn signal works.
So, it's off to O'Reilly to find a new 8-pin male and female connector. Cut the old out and splice in the new.
Much thanks to Mike aka Lucky131969 for his help in explaining things to me and giving me a direction in which to go!

Cool. Definitely repair that splice at the splice pack also, it looks to be hanging on by a thread...or should I say....strand....
I'm finding it difficult to find the 8-pin connector. From what I can determine, it's an AC-Delco part. The male end is PT443, but I can't determine the female part number. Any idea where to get both male and female ends?

If what you have is a PT443(which should be a receptacle with male pins), then the mating connector should be a PT444 plug with female contacts).
