Default Electric Water Pump

Hi everyone, I'm coming over from the C3 section with a question. I just bought a LM7 5.3L engine and was wondering, if I run the electric water pump will it allow me to keep the heater, or will I have to eliminate it? I tried searching through the forum, but couldn't find anything on this topic.

Have you tried contacting Meziere directly?

I'll help here...

Meziere has two versions.

One has the heater ports just like the stock unit.

The second one is a little $cheaper, but is a race-only part with no heater ports, only thermostat.

Kind of expensive either way. They will give more volume of flow compared to stock at lower rpms, but the stock one flows better than electric if the engine is at higher rpms.

I haven't tried contacting them, this is my first LS based engine. I'm going to look into the electric water pump with the heater provisions.

Keep in mind there are several different colors to choose from. I'd like to have one of the polished style, but not for $680. You'll only gain about 4 rwhp just so you know... although it is very well made.

Buying a new stock-style purchase from NAPA (great price with smoother casting) and plan to give it the Budweiser treatment.
