Prepare for a standing mile
I was curious what everyone would do to prepare a car for a standing mile. The car would be at WOT for 30 seconds. I had already planned to back off the timing, increasing fuel pressure, run a non-projected colder plug (BR7EF), changing the oil, and multiple clutch fluid changes. I am on the fence whether I will use my 75 shot to add some mph.
Am I missing anything?
Is there a better type of coolant?
Target tire pressure?
Any other tricks to help reduce the chances of my motor self destructing?

rules depend on the class and speed allowed per class.
there have been a few members who have run on the Maxton mile, Maxton NC
East Coast Timing Association.
SonnyInVA and 900 bhp ( N2 assisted) C4 has seen 197 mph IIRC

Why would you worry about the engine. If all the fluids are 100%, and oil pressure is good it shouldnt be a problem at all.

Just allow plenty or warm up time. So your oil is AT operating temp before you start

a mile really takes a toll on an engine-heat is the biggest killer

I'm not so sure that too much has to be done. The normal preventative measures will be fine. Oil change and check/top all fluids. Nothing will need to be done w/ the clutch fluid but it cant be a bad to replace it with fresh if it makes you feel better.
