Default stock LS1 rwhp

i was wondering how much rwhp a stock c5 vette puts out on a dyno?

i believe GM reported the hp to be 345 from 97 - 2000 then it got bumped up to 385 in 01

and got another bump to 405 from 2002-2004, but how much power from the LS1 is actually getting put down to the pavement?

A ls1 m6 vette normally makes 315-325rwhp stock.

More specifically: 345 for the LS1 97-2000, 350 for the LS1 01-04. 2001 LS6 was 385, and 405 from 02-04.

Those numbers aren't rear wheel, though. They are crank horsepower. No car company gives rear wheel horsepower.

Bone stock 97-00 LS1 will put between 280 and 285 hp on the ground.

Happy corrected dyno numbers I presume no way you are over 400@ the crank with those mods.

^^The numbers you are quoting are flywheel HP not rwhp. LS1 puts out about 310 rwhp. The LS6, which is the Z06 motor puts out around 350 rwhp.

Those are stock figures.

Cat back exhaust and CAI and my 4,000 mile old LS1 was right at 300 hp to the rear wheels. I was also somewhat disappointed. However, my Procharger install last summer jumped me to exactly 500hp to the rear wheels = ear-to-ear grin restored!

You got your car dyno'd in Va beach I assume since you live there? Some of my friends dyno'd in a shop down there and cars produced way more power than they should have. I'd have it checked somewhere else too just for a comarison.

Those all look like good numbers...and most are long time forum members with good rep.

Enlightening post.
