overlays on c5
hi my vette buddies....
I have overlays on the interior, dash, center console and arm rests. Can they be removed. They are attached like cement. Can new ones be ordered, haven't been able to find them.

Try using a hair dryer to heat them up. They should just peel off. Don't use a heat gun as it might over do it and cause damage. Once the overlay is peeled off check for any damage. I would do this with a small piece in an area not readily visible.
Now you may run into a problem if the other owner used an adhesive promoter, this would kind of "bite" into the plastic giving the adhesive on the overlay a better surface to stick too.
