Help Car wont start!!!
i need the board help.
My brother has a 2003 C5.
We replaced the battery with an optima red top because the other battery was dead.
The car started up fine for about the first few days. then we let it sit for 3 days.
I checked the battery voltage and its 11.98V
It starts sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. When it does start it wont start again for a period of time.
Im clueless I checked the starter wires and they seem to be tight, the battery connections are tight.
Please help.

When you say it does not start, do you mean it cranks over but fails to fire or it does not crank over. If it does not crank over and you stated that you checked wiring/battery connections it might indicate that your starter may need replacing, hope this helps.

You need at least 12.5 vdc across the battery for the computers to work. The starter may turn over with less, but its not going to run. Something drained that new battery so you'll need to charge it up, find the source of the drain (check the seat switches) and so on.
