You don't say if it was the fob battery or the Vette battery-

Fob Battery:

IF you get lucky, you may be able to just stand next to the car and hold the lock and unlock buttons down at the same time for about 15 seconds, and the car will re-learn the fob-if you're not so lucky,do this:

KEYFOB PROGRAMMING:

1) Turn ignition on

2) Turn radio off

3) Press Driver Information Center (DIC) RESET button ( 6 )

4) Press OPTIONS button on the DIC until display is blank ( 4 )

5) Press and hold RESET button for 3 seconds ( 6 )

6) Press OPTIONS button until FOB TRAINING is displayed ( 4 )

7) Press RESET button to begin programming sequence. ( 6 )

8) Simultaneously press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK ( A & B )

buttons on first remote for 13 seconds until message

appears stating programming is complete. The computer

will ask to program second FOB. If you don't have a second

FOB follow on to step 9.

9) Turn ignition off and remove key for ignition.

10) Test remote or remotes
