Changing gauge cluster, saving current odometer?
I would like to swap out my gauge cluster for another one. I have both and they are both the same except one has gauge bezels. I just want to swap them and keep same car data on both.
Is there something I can swap between them to save odometer on each?

You'll need to contact a speedometer repair place and provide them with lots of documentation due to the legalities involved. Some have done this through dealers who can send them out for you, therefore providing an extra measure of legality protection for you. You normally cannot do this by yourself and I wouldn't recommend trying.

This is something I read somewhere here and can't find again. I thought I could change a circut board between them to preserve it.
Legal wise it is completely legal as I am trying to preserve same odo on same car.

Yep, your memory served you correctly.....would be cool if you did a thread on the odometer board swap.

you can take apart the cluster, just remove the black frame the bezels are attached to and transfer that to the new cluster
I will post any questions to help w/ the process
it's very easy
the board swap takes about 15 minutes if you want to go that route

I'm about to do the change over. Situation is I have 2 cars, both have gauge bezels but one has stainless and one has plastic. I think the stainless bezels look better. I am needing to get one out anyway to do a bit of LED repair it needs, probably a loose base from when I put LEDs in.
I just thought the board swap would be cleaner and not have to pull needles from the gauges.

Any pics of the board swap? Is it the small circut board next to the main one?
