I have an interesting problem and have searched the forums with no luck.
My rear driver's-side turn signals do not work. The front driver's-side hyper-flash.
Al bulbs are installed correctly and work (I know the rear are dual-filament). The passenger side lights work perfectly.
What could cause this? Should I just take all the bulbs out (front & rear) and go at the sockets with a Q-Tip and some rubbing alcohol? Is it a short? Do I need to fix the wiring somewhere?
Brake & tail lights both work properly (it's ONLY the turn signal on the driver's side), which leads me to believe it's a wiring or fuse issue, so I don't know that cleaning it will help (and that's the only solution I found when searching the forums).

What does CF think?

hyperflashing (or blinking fast) almost always indicates a bulb issue unless you have LEDs installed or an older version of sequential taillights.
If the passenger side is working I would switch the bulbs from that side to the drivers side to see if that corrects the issue.
If not I don't think there is a fuse for the blinkers separated left side/right side. There is a turn signal/hazard fuse in the fuse box in the passenger footwell but that seems to control both sides.

Hope this helps!
Thanks for the help
I hear that C5s have a problem with the bulb running hot and eventually melting the housing, causing water to drip in and causing shorts in the system. Do you think this could be the issue? Would that really cause the rear to stop working?
The good news is.... they are readily available, and you don't need an expensive one for simple troubleshooting. You can pick one up a most auto parts, hardware, or home stores.
