Hey! I'm trying to install carbonfiber air duct and Red Coupler. Coupler is so tight on the throttle body end I can not get it on! Any Help? Came from LAPD .they are not open at this time. THANK'S for any HELP!!! :mad
Try some wd-40 on a rag & wipe the inside of the coupler & the lip of the throttle body. The coupler will stretch over it. If you have to, put the coupler on the TB first, then you can work it from the inside. The other end should fit on the duct with no problems.
I used a little silicone grease like you use on the spark plug boots. Figure I will eventually have to remove it so I don't want to have it stuck there.
Did you just put the carbon fiber end over the metal on the MAF with a clamp?
Don't know, maybe I screwed up. I slid the air bridge right onto the MAF since it had the key on the side and the air bridge didn't have a rubber boot on my 02.
Thank's guy's!!! Your right about the boot. I called Shawn at LAPD this morning and he told me to lose the boot.It would be nice if the company that make's the air duct would put info in with them! Shawn is a GREAT GUY!!!THANK'S AGAIN
