iSimple...not so simple...HELP
I purchased the iPod Peripheral Connector from Double D Mods aka c5 BearsFan here on the forum. Heres a link to the kit, http://www.doubledmods.com/Periphera...ter-ipodc5.htm
So I rip apart the dash, connect the harness to the back of the radio, connect the cars harness to the new harness. Connect the Peripheral module to the harness and set 3 and 8 on. Then connect my iPod touch to the module. I test it, and it works great. Yippee!!!!
So I drive my car for about 25 mins, bring her back home and shut her off. Next morning I go out and start the car, and ERR comes up on the CD player. iPod is charging but radio will not go into AUX/CD. I PM c5 BearsFan and ask what the problem may be. He said it was an installation problem. So I rip the dash apart check everything, remove everything, reinstall, make sure its on 3 and 8, test it and still radio does not go into AUX/CD. Yet iPod charges.
So I rip out the iPod connector kit and put everything back together.
ANY IDEAS? Is this kit just a POS? If this knocked out my radio AUX functions, I'm going to be pi$$ed.
I asked c5 BearsFan if I can get an exchange and no answer.
