Shifter prob??
I have a 01 Z06 with 86k on it. My shifter feels ruff. When i shift it feels like it grinding thur rocks to get to the next gear sometimes. I just changed the tranny fluid along with rear end fluid and i always change the clutch fluid when it gets a little dark.
Anyone know why it feels like that??

What shifter do you currently have installed????
If its a STOCK C5 shifter, in good working order, the shifter /shifter box has little or no effect on shift feel. If you remove a stock OEM C5 and or C6 shifter, the shift arm will/should flop to any position without any resistance.
Take the shifter out and inspect it. It should be free to move. Look at the shift housing shift rod. It should be clean and rust free. I applied some white lithium grease to mine and it helped a little.
If you have already installed new ATF, i would say your looking at some internal tranny issues. Synchros or shift dog damage
