HELP! Speedo stopped working!
MODS, please delete. I'm an idiot; the speedo wasn't working because I also installed gauge bezels, and the double-sided tape for the one on the speedo had started to come unglued. tape has been replaced, and it works like a charm now!
So I installed my HIDs last night, tested them out and everything was fine. Got in the car today and noticed that the speedo wasnt working when I first started rolling. When I got to about 40-50 mph, the needle jumped up and started working fine. It did this for several ignition cycles. Now, the last time I started it up and got moving, it just sits at 0 mph no matter how fast i go... Any ideas? As an FYI, the car is a 2002 Z06. Also, before the installation of the new headlights, I disconnected the negtive terminal of the battery, then reconnected after I finished (it did strike me as odd that the screw popped some pretty big sparks as I was disconnecting/reconnecting, but I assumed that was just because the parking lights were on to keep the headlights popped up...)

I suggest you start at the source...the connector on the differential where it gets the speed information from. Make sure the contacts are clean and the connector is properly secured.
