I have a '99 C5. Yesterday all of a sudden the FOB stopped working New FOB less than a year old. No problem changed the battery, still did not work. Tried to reprogram the FOD by going through the DIC process, still no workie. Finally tired to hold down both the lock and unlock buttons as per the manual still no workie, Went and got a second new battery changed with gloves, did the entire process again...no workie. Tried the second FOB same results. Is there a fuse in the car or a module that I can check out??
This is the first spring in six years I have NOT had to replace the battery in my fob. For some reason my fob battery stays in hibernation with my car.
As long as your TPS's are working that rules out your receiver. They both work on the same frequency.
The other thing, your car battery. If not fully charged it can cause problems programming the remotes.
pulled the fuse it is fine, the TPMS works so it is not the module. ?????
Did you check the voltage on your car battery?
There is one more thing to try. If you have a vette buddy with a 97-99 ask him to let you try to program his remote to your car and see if it works.
