Default Stock Head CAM Upgrade?

Is it possible to see decent gains from a CAM with stock heads?

I will have LT headers, BB Bullet, intake.

You will probably get ~70 rwhp with a cam only.

Im picking up my car tommarrow, just had cam put in. ECS Blower cam 220/228 581 595 116LSA. Mild cam but everyone is telling me to expect to see 50-75hp depending on my tuner. Ill let you know exact umbers when I get it on the Dyno next Saturday. I am at 341 now, hoping to 425, with VR and PD!

425 with that size cam and no heads may be optimistic IMO.
I'm installing a little larger cam in my wife's car and the cam grinder said it made around 395 in a stick car with headers and vararam.

Ok so I would like to see a 50-75HP gain.

Does anyone have recommendations on CAM brands/models?

Majority of the 224-228 duration cams are near if not slightly over 400 whp on bolt on LS1's. Good driveability and idle.

Thunder racing has a Cheatr cam that idles close to stock but has made close to 400whp as well. Its a sleeper cam that offers stock driveability yet great power everywhere. I think its a 215/230 deg cam on a wider 116 lsa or so. Forget the specs but its a cam I was considering for my trans am daily driver, but now I may go bigger just to get some more cam sound to the car.

Nice. Getting mine done at EnglandGreen. Just wondering what kind of power to expect. Going with the Whiplash II. Mid 240s very aggressive.

I made 416 rwhp 392 rwtq. Installed a Comp Cam 224/230 .585/.595 113 LSA, Stock 243 heads, LS6 intake, AR Headers.

She's a screamer.
