I've installed the B&M Ripper shifter with a MOMO cobra ****. Love them both. Only question I have about the shifting smoothness.
When I shift into a gear there seems to be a point I hit where there is some resistance before going into gear. It isn't one smooth motion from gear to gear it's more like a two step motion. Example: Pull from 1st to 2nd goes like this 1. Pull, 2. Spot, 3. In gear. That "spot" is the resistive hesitation. Is this normal? or should I take it into the deal for service? I may have noticed it with the stock shifter but with the new shifter it is more pronounced. Any thoughts?
I guess it is the synchros. they just never felt so pronounced with the stock shifter. With the stock shifter, and aggressive shifting I would sometimes think that was the gear and let out the cluch to here "the grind." That's why I decided to get the B&M.
