Default Dynatech Headers Install

My new Dynatech headers, high flow cats, and Corsa pace exhaust arrived for my 2001 C5 Convertible! Does anyone this set up? If so, about how much install time am I looking at providing myself and a buddy will do the job out of my garage?
Thanks,
Worm

Don't have the setup but taking your time, you should be out about 8 hours.

Personally, I would also get new header bolts and new gaskets instead of reusing the old ones.

Took me 10 to 12 hours over a 2 day weekend. I have the Dynamaxx system. Only advice I can give you is pay attention to the starter wiring if you end up removing the wiring, like I did. There's more wires than old school small blocks have. All in all it's a straight forward install with few surprises. If you need the dynatech install instructions I still have the pdf file.

Had this setup on a previous car and if you have some mechanical skills this shouldn't take you much more than about 6-7 hours. It took me 4 hours, but I had ran a few different setups and knew the tricks. Alot of people say that you have to install the driver side from the bottom. If you loosen the engine mount on that side and take a pry bar and just move the engine up a little, it will fit from the top, just wat h out for the ground wire connected to the block (I disconnected it when I did this) and the thermostat plug in at the front of the head.

Great header with a nice gain once tuned in.

I have this setup, but when I set them in the car, the heads were off, so they fell in rather easily.

I would say it took 1 hour to install them. But then again, it took several hours to R&R the heads.

Hey Worm, great selection of headers. Having installed 2 sets, here are some additional pointer to add to the other posts . I suggest that take some pics as you are removing the parts makes it easier when putting back together. Make sure that you mark which side the O2 sensors were removed so not to mix up when reinstalling. Usually a helping hand or 2 is great. Make sure engine is cold, so no burns to worry about. Now is also a good time to replace spark plugs. Driver side slides in from bottom, and passenger from top. Driver side can be a bit tricky, but they will slide in. Passenger side may require to unbolt the 2 starter bolts and move the starter due to the header flange.
Install time will vary depending on your experience, but you can expect about 8 hours total..

Worm,

Where abouts are you at?

I'm sure that you can find a member to lend a hand or two.

As for the header bolts, tighten them as is:

start from the middle two and alternate going out to 11 lbs.

second/final pass is the same pattern, middle two and alternate going out to 18 lbs.

After a week or so of driving, check the bolts again to make sure they are still in spec. The heat/cool cycles can do weird things.

I have the same setup. I don't remember how long it took with all the other work going on at the time. Nice kit with no surprises. Don't worry about how long it takes just enjoy working on your car. Watch the wiring. Make sure all wires are carefully secured away from heat. I also think its a good Idea to go over all your bolts and retorque after driving the car a few times.

I took WILLFULONE and I about 8 hours to install the Dynatechs on my 347 but neither of us had done it before.

BTW: LT's + Corsa Pace Car sounds insane at RPM.
