Default Alternator bolt?>

Does anyone know the part number or the size/thread of the top alternator bolt on the C5?

Will the pack sold at autozone have it?

Part Number: 45631

Larger size bolts/fasteners sold at AP stores are rarely for specific applications and are usually generic. Not sure where you got that part number, but it is not a GM part number for the bolt you are looking for.

I'm showing GM part # 24503609

It's a 10mm x 1.5 x 95mm

On larger, "structural" fasteners such as this one, don't screw around with generic auto part store bolts. Go to any GM dealer and get the right one. It will be the correct size, have good factory quality corrosion plating and it will have the correct "flange" type head and not need a washer.

The lower mounting bolt is the exact same part number so if you need to go to a salvage yard to match one, I would. That is NOT a "Corvette" bolt and is very likely used on a number of other GM vehicle as well.
