My tuner says the car is still pulling when it hits the stock rev limiter. Can I safely increase it? 6,600? 6,800? It's a weekend cruiser that will see the track a few times per year.
as long as you upgrade the valve train with your cam swap you will be ok. (rods and springs) My 2000 trans am has a ms3 and I run it to 6800 all the time. the engine can handle it. 2300-6800 RPM Power Band. I am putting an ms4 in my vette so I will still be peaking around 6400-6800

Yeah not a good idea if you don't have upgraded rods and springs yeah some people will say it's ok I do it all the time but why take a chance could use an oil pump upgrade while your at it
